The Theatre on King would like to invite you to a public reading of Wyatt Lamoureux’s new play in development, The Dispossessed.
“In a world of rejection and have-not, it’s a hard-knock life in the struggle to get ahead, and no good deed goes unpunished. In The Dispossessed, comedy and tragedy dance l’apache to a hip-hop beat. Sophia, a street outreach worker, searches for the daughter she was forced to give up to adoption 19 years earlier. Jewel and Mary work to find their ideal love; Guy tries to avoid doing the right thing; Arsen and Ryot just want to have fun; and Shit Demon wants to control it all! Their worlds intertwine, affect each other, and eventually collide.”
