Conceived by Brad Brackenridge, based on a poem by Gwendolyn MacEwen
TTOK is excited to present The Nervous System’s one-man version of “Terror & Erebus” on Friday, May 22nd, 2015 at 8pm ($10) and 9pm ($10 or pwyc). Tickets at the door.
“Terror and Erebus” is a site-specific puppet theatre work developed by The Nervous System – a.k.a., mad genius Brad Brackenridge and associated wizards. It’s been performed in Jackson Creek and the mighty Otonabee, with giant puppets, outsized masks, live original music, Inuit throat singing, under sun and hail, as part of Artsweek and Emergency. Come see this new, pared-down solo version. Adapted from a radio play by Gwendolyn MacEwan, the haunting text depicts the last days of the doomed Franklin expedition. Brackenridge’s intimate, intense performance evokes the power of this iconic story. ONE NIGHT ONLY!
