Haven’t you always wanted to try tap dance? It looks like so much fun. Well – here’s the good news – it is!
The Theatre on King is happy to welcome back Dianne Latchford and her class Intro to Tap Dance.
Come and learn the basics in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere. If you have tap shoes – great! If you don’t, just bring along some hard-soled shoes that bend enough to allow you to stand on the ball of your foot (i.e. not running shoes, and not stiff thick-soled boots – think “men’s dress shoes” and you’ve got the right idea). We’ll be starting right at the beginning, so don’t be intimidated – come on out and give it a try! It’s a pretty good workout too.
Dianne Latchford is a veteran actor/singer/musician with over 30 years of professional experience. Way back when, she did a fair bit of musical theatre. Recently she had the chance to re-awaken her love of tap dancing during the “Pennies From Heaven” series at TTOK. “Coaching some of the cast in the basics of tap was a really good time. Now I’d like to share that with more of the Peterborough community.”
