Designed as a glimpse into the art of stage combat, this energetic workshop led by Kenn Gibb will introduce integral skills for the beginner stage combatant in order to ensure safety, precision, and entertainment while footing the boards.
Throughout the workshop, we will be touching on a range of beginner techniques including a variety of strikes and kicks, sequencing and mapping combinations, and, time permitting, a brief introduction to pratfalls and hitting the ground.
Kenn has been working as a stage combat instructor and fight choreographer with his company Without A Scratch for the last decade. His 25 years of theatre experience combined with 15 years as a martial arts instructor has given him a unique insight and a keen eye for creating realistic, safe, and entertaining fight choreography for the enjoyment of actors and audiences alike.
