Cold Reads: Dislocations

March 27, 2024

This month we explore Dislocations by Craig Barron: “At dawn of 21st century, Edna approaches her 100th birthday in her rural Kawartha Lakes home. She has outlived both her children, a missing generation. Terry, her queer great-granddaughter, is determined to travel the world, but first makes a visit and discovers a household of silence and blame.”

A graduate of Peterborough Collegiate, Craig Barron has a BA in philosophy from Trent University, and—after a dip in theatre and film at Concordia University—an MFA from UBC. He worked in health promotion in Vancouver, and has published short fiction, personal essays, and a short play.
