A Trent Radio Production
We are thrilled to kick off RADIO FROM THE STAGE with Kate Story’s “Anxiety,” framed by an opening poetry set by Peterborough/Nogojiwanong’s Poet Laureate Ziysah von Bieberstein, and a closing music set by the consummate Benj Rowland. These three pieces of audio art will be the first live-to-air/live-to-audience recorded performances curated by Trent Radio over the course of the next year, and then placed in our sonic time capsule.
Come on down to TTOK (171 King St, back entrance) on Sunday, October 29 at 8pm and be part of our live-to-air studio audience! No charge – or you can pay what you will!
“Anxiety” weaves the epic poem Beowulf into a gonzo exploration of growing up the daughter of a famed Newfoundland lexicographer, the history of the English language, and the roots of white supremacy in a modern world gone sideways. “Anxiety” was developed in Peterborough, travelled to St. John’s to critical acclaim as part of the Festival of New Dance, and now you have a chance to experience it as sound.
Come to TTOK and be part of our live studio audience, or tune in to 92.7 CFFF FM in Peterborough, ON (287 on Cogeco cable)
Let’s make some noise!
This project is made possible by the Community Radio Fund of Canada.
