An intimate and once-in-a-lifetime Peterborough performance! Esmerine is a two-time Juno-winning ensemble based in Montréal, co-founded by percussionist Bruce Cawdron (Godpseed You! Black Emperor) and cellist Rebecca Foon (Thee Silver Mt. Zion, Saltland).
Most recently, Esmerine has solidified into a core quintet, with Cawdron and Foon joined by percussionist Alden Roberge (Ian Tamblyn), bassist Phillippe Charbonneau (Scattered Clouds), and beloved, stunningly talented regional multi-instrumentalist Brian Sanderson. The group returned from a European tour to grace our precious city with their presence.
