The Blind Eye was an original theatre work by mysterious entity. based
on a true tale of immigration, family secrets, and survival, this
exciting new play moves from the biographical to the fantastical. The
Blind Eye brings the audience into the world of Angel, a young woman
battling demons with strength, humour and courage. Despite the refusal
of those around her to reveal the family past – a past which directly
impacts on her life – Angel discovers the truth and finds her own
definition of home.
This next-stage workshop was directed by Em Glasspool and featured
actors Sedina Fiati, Meghan Swaby, and Christopher Wilton. The play is
based upon the contributions of the original workshop team: Em
Glasspool, Sedina Fiait, Melissa Hood, Bill James, Catalina Motta, Kate
Story and Christopher Wilton.
